Installation Problems Report

This is a list of vehicles that are marked as installed, but which are displaying symptoms of an installation problem.

Alarms that appear on this report include:

  • Primary Power Intermittent – There were an unusual number of recent power on and power off events received from this device. A common cause of this is connecting the primary power line on the device to a source of non-constant power such as the Key/Acc line on the vehicle.
  • Primary Power Weak or Disconnected – The vehicle is currently operating on backup battery power, either because the connected voltage is very low, or is outright absent. This could be an early indication that the primary power line on the device was connected to a source of non-constant power such as the Key/Acc line on the vehicle, or it could be due to power purposefully being removed (such as for un-installation, device tampering, or vehicle maintenance).
  • Excessive Towing – There were an unusual number of recent towing messages received from this device. A common cause is connecting the Key/Acc line input in a way which incorrectly keeps this input grounded even when the vehicle is on.
  • Starter Auto-disabler Unsuccessful (Movement) – This indicates that the vehicle is moving around even though the device believes the starter is disabled. A common cause is connecting the starter disable relay in a way which incorrectly allows the vehicle to be started even when it shouldn't.

If you don't want a vehicle to appear on this report, you can suppress the alarm to remove it. To do this, you must have the suppress permission.

The system automatically suppresses alarms for vehicles that have not recently communicated. Therefore, only vehicles that are actively communicating with the system will appear on this report.
