A Contact belongs to a user and represents an email address or text-able phone number that belongs to the user. Each contact can be subscribed to specified alerts and reports.

There are two types of contacts:

  • Primary Contacts: Every user has a primary email address and/or phone number. The primary email is the address to which Welcome emails, Password Change emails, and others are sent. You cannot change a primary contact's address directly, to change it, you must edit the user or profile.
  • Secondary Contacts: Additional contacts (alternate phone numbers or alternate email addresses) can also be added and, like primary contacts, subscribed to their own alerts and reports.

When creating or changing the address of any contact, the system will send a verification email or text to the address provided. This email or text contains a link that must be clicked before the system will send any scheduled alerts or reports to the new address.
