= My Partner Keys
This is where you can add Partner Keys that somebody else has given you. Depending on the permissions assigned your partner, this may allow you to access their account directly using the 'Switch Account' functionality, or to otherwise collaborate with them using system tickets.
You don't have to add a key in order to use a emailed Guest Access link, but can continue to use the link by clicking the email each time you want to do so.
If you are trying to allow other people access to information in **your** account, rather than add a key here, you must instead create a Partnership Template or a Guest User. When you give the other person the Partner Key -- or when they receive an alert for the Guest User -- they will have the option to add to their own Partner Keys
The person who gave you the Partner Key may revoke your access at any time. Expired or revoked keys are not automatically removed from this list, but will indicate they are no longer valid and will not appear under the 'Switch Account' functionality.
You may assign a friendly name to each Partner Key you add, but this is only to make it easier for you to tell them apart. The key value is given to you by somebody else. Only the key value is important for you to have access to their account.
=== Adding a Partner
There are 3 different ways to add a partner key:
# **If you received an access invitation:** Click the link to accept the invitation. Accepting an invitation automatically adds the key to this list.
# **If you received an alert/report email:** Sign into the website using your username and password, and then click any link in an email which contains a partner key, If the key is not already in here, you will be asked if you want to add it.
# **If you already know the key:** copy and paste the key (or a link containing the key) directly into the "Add Partnership" form after pressing the Add button. The key will be extracted and the partnership will be added.
=== Accessing the Partner's Account
To access a partner's account, click the 'Switch Account' menu item under your username and chose one of the keys that you previously added. The screen will change and you will see the information that the other user is sharing with you. The website header changes color to indicate that you are viewing shared information from somebody else's account.
A Partner only appears under 'Switch Account' if the key you entered is still valid.
When you are done viewing the shared information, you can return to your normal account by clicking 'Switch Account' again, and choosing to return to your own account.
